There's so many things going on right now. And that P4 Math Carnival is sucking the life out of me not to mention wasting resources.

I was a good girl and forced myself to get up for netball training today. I kept trying to convince myself it's much better as 3 days per Month instead of 3 days per Week. So I willed myself up to change and everything. Then I took my dad's car and had totally no clue how cold the weather was this morning. The breeze was particularly strong and chilly. So anyway, I met Elaine in the driveway and turns out only 8 of us were actually there for training.

It was quite OK, seeing as I haven't trained in decades. I've lost all my mental strength as I can't even hold 30 second bridges/statics. Grr... no wonder my tummy is in the shape that it's been in these past few years. Sigh, I shall try to will myself into doing PTs as well. Oh, and the court was soaked. So the balls were also soaked and splashed rainwater all over us. And the balls were also really slippery so I couldn't get a good grip on a few of them and they inevitably smashed my face yet again. Forgot to wear my contacts and so my glasses got smashed but I fixed them now. :D Anyway, getting a much nicer pair this week hopefully! Then we moved down to the concourse as it was raining moderately I guess, for lack of a better word.

We played the Tap Ball game. It was fun! :D We haven't played that game in ages. And I got to run around aimlessly again. Oh, and chests were smashed, inevitably I suppose. But to hear the thud when the impact lands is just "ouch". We played 4 games I think. Then we joined the juniors in their training but we only did one set. Then I rushed back home! This is the start of the epic story of which I would like to name "The Epic Math Carnival".

Here it goes:

One fine day, exhausted after netball practice, this girl rushed back home thinking she would still be able to make it in time for her P4 Math Carnival Briefing in school later on that afternoon. So, she quickly made her exit and waited at the bus stop for her bus which usually crawled to the juncture, making the wait all the more agonizing.

Finally, she boarded the bus and alighted at the designated stop. She ran most of her way home and quickly got her necessary garments and rushed off to the shower. She hurriedly washed off all the grime, dirt and sweat off her body and changed into a fresh uniform. Someone off in the distance called out to her, her lunch was ready. She came out of the bathroom, wringing out her hair.

She chomped down her meal of Spicy Fried Rice and quickly went to the blow dryer. She turned the power on to the maximum and started combing through her thick locks to get to the bottom-most layer and started to work her way up. She had already planned her activities so that she would maximise what little time was given. She managed to dry her hair to the point where she was satisfied and quickly tied it up into a simple ponytail.

She played and fed her dog for the remaining amount of time before departing towards another bus stop to wait for her bus. When alighting, she wasn't surprised to see it filled to the brim. However, she thanked her lucky stars that there was a seat not taken and quickly ascended on it. She opened her edition of "Salvation in Death" by Nora Roberts and read the last few pages of the current chapter before closing it again and waiting patiently for the bus to arrive at her school.

After a few minutes, she realised that her friend had also boarded the same bus towards school. However, she didn't know if he had saw her and they never made eye contact. When they arrived, she quickly went up to him to start a conversation about the purpose of the briefing that they were going to attend later.

She had made it! With only minutes to spare, she clambered onto a seat next to her other friend who apparently also just reached. She started to converse and wait for her other friend to arrive. Then they decided to shift seats as more people were coming in and they didn't want to be a dead weight.

Yeah, ok can't continue. I'm not good in English if you didn't know. So, shall not pretend to be. Yup, met Aaron in the bus. Met Janice in the Auditorium. We then shifted up because all the other schools were trying to find seats where they all could sit together and I think we were blocking them as we were randomly sitting in any empty space. So we moved to the back and Cheryl joined us. The Genevieve joined too! She was wearing some jeweled flip flips and a skirt. She was weaving something cool! :D I shall do it too! :D

Then they told us to move back to the front, so we shifted back to our original seats. Naomi still hadn't arrived yet. So, the MOE GE Branch guy was shifting us AGAIN because he wanted it orderly. Yup, so we shifted to the side. Shortly afterwards, Naomi came. So we were all complaining as the guy wasn't even addressing us. We waited 45 minutes then we got a briefing of

"OK, we'll brief you tomorrow at 7.15am."

Genius. I wasted all the electricity, water and money for nothing! NOTHING! Super pissed. Grr... I seriously don't like this carnival. And plus, we're arriving 45 minutes earlier before the rest because they want to brief us. (#&$@)#!

Followed Janice all the way to Bishan to collect her photocopied papers. She's already doing Calculus exercises! We wanted to watch a movie but there wasn't anything nice showing that we hadn't already seen. So Janice ran happily off and me and Naomi got something to eat at BreadTalk. She got ice cream too from McDonalds. We wanted to find a place to sit but the restaurant was full as usual. Went back home via MRT and my knees were aching. Probably from all the running around and netball.

Went back to Home Sweet Home and end of story. I didn't sleep like a baby at all. I don't know why. I'm so frustrated today. Sigh. Oh, and I like this rendition of "Oceans Avenue" by YellowCard. It's been playing on the radio for quite some time and I just seemed to want to upload it to my blog now. I feel like I'm in a live concert again. Seeming which, I've only been to one live concert in my LIFE and it was Planet Shakers. And now everyone knows why I like PS even though I'm not Christian.

Oh and we ate at Carnivore, Vivo City for Daddy's Birthday! Scrum-dee-li-umpcious! :D So was the cake! My dad said he overate because he ate 2 slices of OUR BIRTHDAY CAKE and then his colleagues threw him a birthday bash too and he got to eat MORE CAKE.

So basically Carnivore is a restaurant where there's a salad bar. There aren't any menus as it's free-flow of meat. No appetizers or main courses, just plain meat. It's the Brazilian Churrascaria. They roast several different meat on spits and then they come out and carve it straight onto your plate whilst still hot! :D All meat lovers fantasy. I couldn't eat much that day as I got my braces done. But I still managed to eat some fantastic meats, though cut small enough for a baby to chew on.

We ordered some apple spritz and my dad had the Sauvignon. I got to try some! :D I like wine! I guess it's an acquired taste. I hate beer though. I can't stand it being bitter and gassy at the same time. The total bill was $223.30. I was schooling my parents on proper etiquette. Which is funny as my sister was saying I sounded more like the parents and my parents were behaving more like the kids. I guess when you're having a good time you'll tend to forget that it's fine dining.

When my mum read out the price, she didn't include the decimal. She just read out 2233. So we were all thinking $2233?! OMFG! Then she explained and we could all breathe easier. Oh, and we had Chocolate Fudge Cake and Strawberry Ice cream for dessert. Almost wanted to get my Apple Crumble! Sigh, I couldn't bite so I decided to go for something soft like cake. Yup! :D That's about it. Didn't get a picture of Daddy's cake though. That would be fun!
